Blockchain Technology
Blockchain is the technical basis for Traffic-Fi.
The blockchain is a distributed, immutable digital ledger that records and stores data across a network of computers in a secure, decentralized manner. Each "block" in the chain contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block, a timestamp, and transaction data. This data cannot be altered once it has been added to the blockchain, making it an immutable and trusted record of transaction history. By using a consensus mechanism, the blockchain allows for distributed and decentralized validation of transactions without the need for a third-party intermediary. This allows for faster and more secure transactions to occur without any central control or interference.
The history of development is a progression from a payment-only system (G1) to a system with payment, smart contracts, and extra content encryption (G3) to a system with payment, smart contracts, relay (G4) to a system with payment, smart contracts, traffic metrics protocol and block relay (G5).
G1 : Payment - e.g. Bitcoin
G2: Payment + Smart Contract
G3: Payment + Smart Contract + Extra Content Encrypted (Profile + Social Digraph + Private Message + Post + Comment)
G4: Payment + Smart Contract + Relay (Private Cloud) - e.g. Damus
G5: Payment + Smart Contract + Traffic Metrics Protocol + BlockRelay + Post-quantum Safe Shield
